Accountabilities
- Own the strategy and execution for 5-10 states
- Develop and execute winning strategies, including annual goals and stakeholder maps
- Secure state funding and direct statewide contracts for schools
- Track funding, legislative opportunities, and policy discussions
- Cultivate relationships with governors' offices and key state organizations
- Manage external lobbyists and ensure clear objectives and accountability
- Drive operational rigor, detailed tracking, and collaboration with various teams
Requirements
- 5-7+ years in government relations, sales, or policy roles in healthcare or education
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage a complex, multi-state portfolio with long sales cycles
- Experience managing external lobbyists and measuring performance
- Proficiency in pipeline management tools and Excel/PowerPoint
- Enthusiasm for building new functions in a startup environment
- Passionate about supporting student mental health
