Accountabilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and infrastructure components that power our platform
- Contribute to data pipelines and processes (ELT/ETL) for real-time and batched data extraction, processing, and transformation
- Build and maintain integrations with data providers using various data transfer protocols
- Support and develop backend services and infrastructure components across the broader platform
- Drive engineering projects from start to finish with high ownership and autonomy
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support team goals beyond core data engineering responsibilities
- Ensure product and data quality through manual and automated testing, along with code reviews
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on Data Engineering
- Strong backend development skills, including building and supporting REST/gRPC APIs and services
- Experience with complex SQL queries and technologies like Redshift, Clickhouse, Trino, StarRocks, Apache Iceberg, or similar
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and their data-related services
- A proactive approach to tasks and a desire to learn and grow in the industry
